Non Completers

After a student completes beauty school they have a diploma not a license. To get that license they must go and take two state tests. One in practical work and the other in theory. Until they have done this they are considered a non completer. For some reason I am finding many students don't go and take these tests. This means they can not go to work in the cosmetology field. I am trying to understand why they would put so much effort into school only to stop so close to the finish. Where I work if a past student doesn't feel ready to take these tests they can schedule a time to return and we will work with them to get prepared for the tests. If a student has graduated from a different school and this service is not offered often these people will contact me and I work with them to get them ready. It is just such a shame for someone to get so close to their goal and not take that final step.
