My Advise

If one were to ask me for advise about how to make cosmetology school as easy as possible I would tell them - - - get a friend. Not necessarily to start classes with, although that seems to work really well too. I mean make a friend.

The first week of school when you see who all has started along with you make a friend. Call that person a study buddy or whatever you please. Work on that friendship. Watch out for each other. Take notes and check to see what the other thought was important that you may have missed. Have them watch your stuff while you go to the restroom. What out for each other. If one of you are ill let the other keep really good notes on what went one and share when the other returns. Or even call you at home to see if everything is alright. Be a friend. When things are going well it is easier to share good thoughts and events with a friend. When things are a bit more difficult it is easier when someone is in your corner telling giving you positive feedback. Life is just plain easier when you have a friend to share it with. Sure, most of us have friends outside of classes but they don't really grasp how difficult some things are to master. An outsider can't really sympathise with the sore muscles you get when you first learn how to Marcel properly. Only someone who has been there or is literally right there can really understand.

Not everyone wants to make their life as easy as possible though so many times when I give this same advise it isn't really followed. But, that is my thoughts on the subject. For whatever it is worth.
