Break time

It seems some folks don't understand the purpose of breaks. They go on break. Play around with whatever, get a snack, call their loved ones and then when break is over tell me they have to go use the restroom. And some get an attitude if Ipoint out tht class is strting NOW not soon. And here I thought break time was for the purpose of using the restroom! I am so confused. Now, I am the first person to want to stay a bit too long on breaks. But, I don't do it. I am back where I am supposed to be even if I have to almost run back down the hall at the last moment. (Although I have been known to send everyone on break a few minutes early.) So, LOTS of students have been being signed out lately for returning to class late. It bothers me more than perhaps it should. I wish someone would explain to me what the deal is about being late lately. Is it the nice weather or some sweet fella on the phone or what?
