Juniors
In the state of Michigan a cosmetology course takes 1500 hours to complete. The first 350 hours are spent as Junior Students with the rest as Senior Students. The main difference being that Juniors can not perform services on paying clients. Currently I work in the Junior Class. The students start there on their first day and learn the basics services needed for the clinic floor, begin their work for their state board test, and learn as much as possible about safety and cleanliness. They then move on to the next level where they begin learning to work on clients. There is a lot to learn in cosmetology school and a lot of fun to be had doing it. Especially in the Junior Classroom. But then, I may be a tad bit biased.
