Mini Boards Coming

One of the requirements to leave my classroom is to pass a test called Mini Boards. Basically an instructor gives the test as close as we can replicate to the actual State Board Test. She watches over the students and sees where their strengths are in order to assist them in their work for a successful trip to state board testing.

Several of my students are going to this test tomorrow. Some of them are nervous and some are confident. It is almost funny that this one particular student is terrified of taking this test. She does such good work! Her skills were good from the beginning and have gotten progressively better in the past few months. She could have passed this test last month and here she is loosing sleep and freaking out. It is not a difficult test for someone who is prepared for it. It is not a difficult person giving the test. A student either knows the material or they don't. I don't set up students for failure. If I didn't believe she was capable of passing the test I would not have set her up to take it. In total I have seven students going to test Thursday. I trust that each and every one of them will succeed. I just wish they would all relax and trust my judgement.
